Connect with Nature in Jeju Island | Guided Meditation

The daily anxieties of modern life can easily throw us off balance, but finding our zen can many times be just one meditation away. We invite you to join our Mindful series, wherewe capture scenes in nature around the world and present them to you with guided meditations so that you may form space in your mind to invite more positivity and abundance to your day.

Think of the most perfect getaway to restore your energy. Take a few seconds to visualize it in your head. Chances are, you pictured yourself in a place with vivid greens and infinite blues.

Sure, the hustle and bustle of city life may keep us moving forward and entertained all the time, but no matter how romanticized the urban life may be, at the end of the day, it’s the seaside and the forests we dream of being in. It’s intrinsic to our nature (pun unintended) to always gravitate towards natural spaces.

Nature has a tendency to bring our sense of vitality to its peak after all. Whether it is channeled into a burst of physical energy or a creative calling, we know there is no other place that can deliver us the same feeling of comfort, awe, and connection.

So that’s where we’d like to come in with our new Mindful series. In our current state of the world where more than half the population lives in a concrete jungle, we want to bring our community closer to mother nature.

Through this series we capture natural sceneries around the world to give you an immersive experience incorporating ASMR audio and guided meditations – starting with our beloved Jeju Island (제주도) of Korea. For those who may not be familiar, this island holds three UNESCO environmental mandates: World Natural Heritage, Biosphere Reserve and Global Geopark.

This particular location is Seogwipo [서귀포] which is settled on a rocky volcanic coastline in the southern part of the island. It is also a UNESCO heritage site

Our first topic for Melixir’s Mindful series is only naturally (pun once again unintended), ‘connecting with nature.’

The daily anxieties of modern life can easily throw us off balance, but finding our zen can many times be just one meditation away. We invite you to join our Mindful series, where we capture scenes in nature around the world and present them to you with guided meditations so that you may form space in your mind to invite more positivity and abundance to your day.

We've prepared two videos down below for you - one with guided meditation and one without it. Whichever one serves your state of mind better, it's yours to use anytime and anywhere.

If you are in a place where you can close your eyes for a few minutes to relax your mind and body, go ahead and press play.

After that, read on further to see more ways you can connect with nature in your daily lives.

Here are some more ways to connect with nature in your daily lives:

1. Take a walk barefoot

It's a nice sensory feeling of being connected to the earth as you walk step by step on the grass, the leaves, and the soil. Pay attention to how your toes, in-between the toes, and soles feel.

2. Adopt a new pet plant

Every plant has its own common and scientific name, its own required sunlight exposure and water intake to grow, and characteristics. Give it your own pet name (Miss Prickles, Blossom, Jungkook... whatever you'd like!). Study up on how to take good care of it and watch it flourish in the care of your hands. Plus, it's a wonderful room decor.

3. Watch the sunrise and sunset

Watching the skies change colors in hundreds of different warm and fiery hues is one of the best sceneries we can observe on this planet. Sink in the moment, take a photo and share it with your loved ones, and try painting it too. The best part is, we get to see it twice every day.

4. Go for a plogging

Plogging is a coined term for jogging and the Swedish term “plocka upp,” which means "pick up." It's one of the few things in the world that only has pros and zero cons - it keeps our communities clean and green, it burns our calories more than just simply jogging, it doesn't cost a dime, and lastly, it feels wonderful to care for the environment and the earth.

As we move forth with this project, we hope that you will find balance and inner peace together with us as you listen to the bird chirps, the winds, the sea waves, and more from different locations of the world.
