Connect with Nature on Jeju Island | Guided Meditation

The daily anxieties of modern life can easily throw us off balance, but often, finding our zen is just one meditation away. We invite you to join our Mindful series, where we capture scenes from nature around the world and pair them with guided meditations, allowing you to create mental space for inviting more positivity and abundance into your day.

Imagine the perfect getaway to restore your energy. Take a moment to visualize it in your mind. Chances are, you pictured yourself in a place filled with vibrant greens and endless blues.

While the hustle and bustle of city life keep us entertained and moving forward, no matter how romanticized urban living may seem, it’s ultimately the seaside and forests we dream of. It’s intrinsic to our nature (pun unintended) to gravitate toward natural spaces.

Nature has a remarkable ability to elevate our sense of vitality. Whether it manifests as a surge of physical energy or a spark of creativity, there is no other place that offers the same feeling of comfort, awe, and connection.

That’s where we come in with our new Mindful series. In a world where more than half the population resides in concrete jungles, we aim to bring our community closer to Mother Nature.

Through this series, we capture natural scenery from around the globe, providing you with an immersive experience that incorporates ASMR audio and guided meditations—starting with our beloved Jeju Island (제주도) in Korea. For those who may not be familiar, this island is recognized by three UNESCO designations: World Natural Heritage, Biosphere Reserve, and Global Geopark.

Our first featured location is Seogwipo [서귀포], situated along the rocky volcanic coastline in the southern part of the island. It is also a UNESCO heritage site.

The inaugural topic of Melixir’s Mindful series is naturally (pun intended) “Connecting with Nature.”

We’ve prepared two videos below for you—one with guided meditation and one without. Choose the one that best suits your state of mind; it’s yours to use anytime and anywhere.

If you find yourself in a space where you can close your eyes for a few minutes and relax your mind and body, go ahead and press play.

Afterward, read on for more ways to connect with nature in your daily life.

Here are some additional ways to connect with nature in your daily life:

  1. Take a Walk Barefoot

Experience the delightful sensation of being connected to the earth as you walk barefoot on the grass, leaves, and soil. Pay attention to how your toes, the spaces between them, and the soles of your feet feel.

  2. Adopt a New Pet Plant

Every plant has its own common and scientific name, specific sunlight and water requirements, and unique characteristics. Give your plant a fun name (like Miss Prickles, Blossom, or Jungkook—whatever you like!). Learn how to care for it and watch it flourish under your nurturing touch. Plus, it makes for wonderful room decor!

  3. Watch the Sunrise and Sunset

Witnessing the sky transform into a canvas of warm and fiery hues is one of the most beautiful sights on our planet. Immerse yourself in the moment, take a photo to share with loved ones, and even try painting the scene. The best part? We get to enjoy this spectacle twice every day.

  4. Go Plogging

Plogging combines jogging with the Swedish term “plocka upp,” meaning "pick up." It’s a fantastic activity with only benefits and no downsides—it keeps our communities clean and green, burns more calories than regular jogging, costs nothing, and provides a rewarding sense of caring for the environment.

As we embark on this project, we hope you find balance and inner peace alongside us, listening to the chirping of birds, the whisper of the wind, the sound of ocean waves, and more from various locations around the world.
