On October 23, Korea's first vegan cosmetics brand Melixir(CEO Hana Lee) announced its donation of vegan hand wash worth 10 million won to the NGO Hope Joyagdol(Secretary-General Jaewon Lee) in support of single-parent households.
This donation aims to ease the parenting and economic burden of single mothers by creating an eco-friendly environment for child-rearing. The donated items will be distributed to single-mother support facilities in Seoul and other cities across Korea.
A representative from Melixir stated, "We’re delighted that our hand wash donation can provide meaningful support to single-mother families. We plan to continue our corporate social responsibility initiatives through sustainable products that consider the environment and aim to benefit a wider audience."
Jaewon Lee, Secretary-General of Hope Joyagdol, expressed gratitude, saying, "Thanks to Melixir's support, we can offer necessary vegan products to single-parent families. We hope this initiative will help these families raise their children in a safer and healthier environment."
In 2023, Melixir became the first Korean cosmetics brand to achieve the prestigious B Corp certification. With sustainability as a core value, the brand is growing rapidly, receiving strong interest from both domestic and international consumers.
